PPEforHCP is a non-profit organization founded by Sophia, a rare disease advocate and biodata scientist, during the height of the pandemic. Her mission was to bring the much needed personal protection equipment (PPE) to healthcare professionals (HCP) in the USA, and eventually the world. This website was to be one of the primary ways doctors, nurses and healthcare personnel could request for PPE, and where individuals and organisations could make donations to the cause.
PPEforHCP’s website and branding was designed and developed within 7 days, a blazing fast turnaround time as every second mattered in an escalating Covid-19 pandemic. Over 70,000 medical-grade face masks, 6 000 nitrile gloves, 2600 hand sanitisers and 400 isolation suits have been acquired and sent to doctors from all over the world since this website’s inception.
PPEforHCP’s old website was a haphazard maze of information and pictures. Sophia needed her foundation’s main platform to be redesigned in a coherent manner to highlight the urgency of the situation, that many doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals lacked proper medical-grade personal protection equipment and were falling victim to the rapidly spreading Covid-19 virus.
The mission was to reorganize, redesign PPEforHCP.org as quickly as possible to allow for healthcare professionals to request PPE with ease, and for the public to recognize the seriousness of the situation then, and rally to this cause through donations.

Within 7 days, PPEforHCP received a brand new logo and responsive website designed to maximize action in minimal time on both web and mobile. I chose a bright yellow to be the main colour scheme for PPEforHCP’s brand to represent hope and capture attention to this important cause. With the help of this rebranding and website redesign, PPEforHCP sent 70,000 medical-grade face masks, 6 000 nitrile gloves, 2600 hand sanitisers and 400 isolation suits to hospitals and healthcare centres across the world.
